| Im still learning to get around this site but came upon this thread... I had assorted cold weather gloves which some were better than others with and without glove liners, but I highly recommend spending the extra $25-50 and get the electrics if you are a serious cold weather rider. I had both Widder and Gerbing and recommend the Gerbing (My Widders were really old though) and they seem to fit better and are not as stiff as the Widders I had. As a birthday gift last month, my son bought me electric socks! That will be my next post in a few months. |

Thanks for the advice. I'm seriously considering the electric gloves. I froze last year riding in 27 degree weather!!
Yes please do let us know how you like the socks!! _________________ Chrome Cowgirl

Last year I purchased Gerbring electric gloves and it was an excellent investment. I also have a electric vest but haven't tried it yet. The new gloves had a new type of connector, different from the vest.
If you have an old electric vest, check out the connection as there is a
new type now. I sent my vest to Gerbring and they replaced the connections (4) at a resonable price.
Now I can use both with the new connection. Of course, I had to replace the connection to the battery also.
When it is 20-30 degrees, I will be happy I put the $ into it.....I do believe. _________________ silversis |

| I so want to go in this direction so we can skip the winterizing process...*sighs* I did go look at the site but I still don't know what to do. I have just found I so prefer to try gloves on before buying. I think I will look at the gloves with the expensive logo on them Saturday after the HOG chapter meeting. |

Back to this discussion for a moment.
I bought a pair of heated gloves last year in desparation. I had to get them in order to get home. They are a mens small and are way too big. I wore them then and one more time but the bulk was too dangerous.
So i am on-line now and I am looking at the Gerbings. My concern is for authenticity in sizing. It says to measure my hand accross the knuckles, which i have done. It measures seven and a half inches which would put me in an extra small.
If those of you who have them could tell me how you find the fit....do they run small,...big....do they stretch over time.....If they stretchthen i won't worry about them being ever so slightly tight if they will stretch just a bit...but if they run big...well there is nothing i can do about making them small.
So just let me know what your expereince has been and then I will take that into consideration before making my own decision about size.
Thanks Ladies
