was just wondering of any of you ladies have been to, Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap. i have been looking at a lot of videos on youtube and wanted to know if anyone here has been there!!
i think they said it has 318 curves in 11 miles!!!!
looks like a blast to ride on!!

Yes, Rose. Five Sisters from our Chapter A in Macon, GA rode the dragon last summer and it was wonderful. If you keep you speed at a reasonable rate and look through the curves, you will be fine. We even have the tee shirts to prove our valor.
Be aware that some of the daredevils on crotch-rockers will go flying by you but stay in th middle of the road and don't let the sound of their roar scare you.
If you can manage to ride it on a week day, it will be much better and not so crowded.

rode the dragon 10/07.... actually was going to chicken out, and sit in the parking lot, while hubby rode thru on his bike... we ended up coming up thru backwards, and before i knew it, i'm like, "I'm riding the dragon, I'm riding the dragon!!" i went thru it at my speed, hubby hit it a little harder but, i had a blast... they also take pictures of you while your riding thru, which you can order off the website.... take the earlier advise, and go thru on a weekday, we went early in the morning..
