I am new rider as well as new to Richmond VA. I am hoping to meet other riders near me to help me get out on the road and to get some real experience. I ride a Honda 750 Shadow Aero. I have taken the state safety course - I just don't feel comfortable riding alone yet. I have always wanted to ride since my oldest brother plopped me on his bike when I was a kid. Now 35 years later I am finally hitting the road!! Hopefully I can join up with some veterans and be able to ride in some charity events, as well as weekend rides this spring. Would love to meet all of you!!

Hey There Shadow-pup,
welcome to the site. Before you know it you will find those riders who are going to have a similar riding attitude to yours and have great fun....
Does it get hot and humid there in the summer months?--tink _________________ ~~we ride under the same sun and rest under the same moon~~

Hi Tink ..yes it can get pretty hot and humid here in Virginia, but we have been getting pretty mild weather all year long for the past two years. *knock wood*
I found a lot of good info on the motorman site and hopefully I can make it to the nearest parking lot to try out a few practice exercises.
Its good to be here ! thanks!!

Hello Shadow_pup, WELCOME!
I have a Honda 750 Aero and love it. I think it is a great bike to get started on.
There are alot of people joining the organization in different areas, you might send a message to Sparky and ask her about members in your area.

Hi Shadow_pup!!!! Welcome to the forum!!!!
I love motorman!! His exercises really do help but I can see where it would be hard to find the room to practice. I am lucky and practice in my pasture but it isn't flat enough in one area to do some of the exercises.
You will find a lot of support on this site. They are a neat group of gals here!
