Sunday May 20, 2007.
This is a HUGE ride in Minnesota, and it happens to benefit my daughter's Special Olympics team, The RAVE. Here are a couple of pics from last year.
My daughter Angela and "The Preacher". Angela always falls for the roughest looking guys. LOL

This group of guys was hanging around talking. Angela walked into the middle of their group and told them, "Hey! Pose with me!"
Lotsa bikes at this event!
After the blessing, there is food for everyone. Then some of the riders give the atheletes rides. For most of the atheletes, this is the highlight of their year.
Afterwards is a ride. This will be my first year riding with them, and I can't wait!

Your daughter is such a cutie! What events does she participate in?

My youngest daughter and I were able to volunteer for an equestrian event for special olympices here in NJ..... near where I live..... this past fall. It was the first time I had participated in that day....I had so much fun and my daughter did too. I was very impressed with all the people who participated and organized it and seeing the kids ride...some of them for the first time with out a tether, was very fun. Their faces said it all!!---tink _________________ ~~we ride under the same sun and rest under the same moon~~

awwww thanks guys. Angela is a tiny little thing. She's turning 11, but in those pictures she looks like a 5 year old! Very common among kids who have Down Syndrome.
Angela participates in Track and Field (until about the middle of June when it gets too hot for her, because she doesn't sweat.) bowling, basketball, sometims swimming (she has a long way to go with this, because she swims like a rock!) and softball in the past as well. (to her softball is standing out in the field holler "hey batter batter batter!"
