Yesterday, I was riding my bike around town when some idiot decided that he didn't want to sit in traffic and pulled out into my lane. HE NEVER SAW ME! Shocked I ended up locking up both brakes and felt my only escape was to ride the nearby ditch. (I drive a 4x4 and have never off-roaded a day in my life, let alone on my bike.) I rode along a decent distance until I was finally able to get back on the road. I had to talk myself out of trying to have a come to Jesus meeting with the man in the Lowe's parking lot. Evil or Very Mad

Nothing like literally living out my signature.....

That was some quick thinking on your part Mocha. Don't know what you ride but now you can say it is an off roader. Good review for the company. I have been in a couple close ones but not that close. Thank God you are ok, and didn't go to jail for battery. Razz

Mocha....SOOooo glad you are safe and have a quick mind and steady nerves. Sharing what happens and how you got out of it safely can only help every one who reads it!!!....Especially if you describe in detail as best you can remembr what you did....where your eyes were, head position....what may have gone wrong as you reacted, but what you did to compensate...what was running through your head....etc.

On my 'Bikers Haven' Site i am trying to get people to not only share their painful stories but also get people to share what they did ...good and bad...in order to help others be better riders. Thanks for sharing this.

So glad you are safe and sound

I had a similar experience here in Florida where someone didn't
"see me" and decided to change lanes "just because" and squeezed me
between them and a wall. It was either hit them or take my chances and
slide along the wall without going over into the river. Luckily, I slid along the wall and came to an abrupt stop in the bushes. The idiot in the car
NEVER stopped! It was the other bikes behind me that saw the whole thing
stop and helped.

Very Happy Glad you are still here to tell about it- the more I ride in town the more scared I get! Stillwater is notorious for bad drivers and they especially seem oblivious to bikes!!!!!!!! Mad Be careful out there ladies!
